Humanitarian Mission (NJASMHM), in association  with the Guyana Central Arya Samaj, and other Hindu, Muslim, Christian and non-governmental organisations, are getting ready to implement a number of charitable programmes and humanitarian projects as part of its 2009 Guyana mission.

I am particularly pleased with the huge turnout at the ‘Arya Swaranjali’ programme held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 in Jersey City, New Jersey . Despite a number of competing activities, combined with the inclement weather, people were not daunted, and came out in full force at the Sacred Heart Recreation Center Hall, to enjoy an ‘Evening of Hope’ bolstered with scintillating music and sizzling dances

As part of its mission to assist the less fortunate, the New Jersey Arya Samaj Mandir recently donated two wheelchairs to persons who had suffered a stroke and were subsequently paralyzed. Receiving the wheel chairs were Jailall Gopaul of Edinburgh, East Bank Berbice and Sharda Goberdhan of Line Path, Skeldon. Goberdhan had her right leg amputated due to diabetes.

WILLIAMSBURG, CORENTYNE — The New Jersey Arya Samaj Humanitarian Mission, in collaboration with its local chapter, donated a wheelchair to Waveney Fraser last week.

The 75-year-old woman, who lives at Lot 172 Number Two Village in East Canje, suffered a stroke on the right side and is also affected by arthritis.The wheelchair was donated to the Humanitarian Mission by Food for the Poor.
