Start of the Mission’s Activities Guyana Summer 2011

By admin / Posted on 16 July 2011

The time is here. I leave in a couple of hours to our beloved country, Guyana. This signals the start of a very busy summer for this Mission.  All of our planning, coordinating, and charitable activities lead up to this moment. This is the execution phase. If all goes well, we will put a smile on faces and ease the burden of pain and suffering at the cruel hands of poverty.

Two very recent developments that I will address immediately are:-

  1. Daniel, the young boy in a wheelchair living in an abusive home. I am meeting with the family to assess and render immediate assistance as the situation permits.
  2. Cane Grove Home Project where the NJASMHM and Irene Madray’s Recreational, Arts and Resources Center (I.M.R.A.R.C) will work in partnership to build a new home for this family.
  3. Enmore Low Income Working Family. Commencement of project, estimated completion-10 days.

There are other projects that were already in the works that I will update you on as they become complete.

Additionally, there are several meetings and discussions with Guyanese leaders on a national and local level that will seek to further the mission’s initiatives.

As the mission takes its work on the ground in Guyana there may be lapse in communications and prompt responses. Our members in the US will seek every opportunity to keep updating statuses as the work continues.

Have a pleasant time and smile when you see the fruits of your contributions. Without your selfless outpouring none of these great acts of kindness could be possible.

I thank you for allowing me to act on your behalf.

Sincerely,

Pandit Suresh Sugrim

President
